 | Shipping of Water from the Spring

On 25th February 1858, Bernadette, on the instructions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, scraped away the earth and revealed a spring of clear water that has never dried up. This water has no thermal or therapeutic value. For pilgrims it is a symbol of purification that recalls the Sacrament of Baptism. This water is distributed through the taps to the left of the Grotto, it is used in the Baths, is available on the Water Walk and shipped free of charge throughout the world to all who request it.
TRANSPORT COSTS
The water is shipped free of charge but the packing and transport costs are high because they include:
- The cost of the container and the packaging;
- Handling costs;
- Transport costs through the post, overland or by air.
The charges are calculated according to expenses.
