Rosary

Praying the Rosary is a meditation on the "Mysteries" or events of the life of Jesus who came to reveal to us God's plan for the salvation of the human race. This meditation goes with the recitation of the Rosary.
A Rosary beads is made up of 5 decades, with three Mysteries - Joyful Sorrowful and Glorious.

The meditation on these Mysteries makes up the Rosary : these are recalled in Lourdes in the fifteen side altars of the Basilica that carries that name.

A decade of the Rosary begins with the "Our Father" followed by ten "Hail, Mary's" and concluded by a prayer of praise to God the Trinity : "Glory be to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen."
