 What is it?
Built in 1863 on the rock of Massabielle, above the Grotto of the Apparitions, the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception requires after a century and a half of existence, restoration work and refurbishment.
Initially planned for 2008, work will begin, thanks to your donations, in 2009.

Why do we need you?
The objective is to continue the exterior and interior restoration of the basilica.
It remains a part of the work to achieve:
- re-pointing the facades of the basilica
- Interior cleaning
- Redevelopment of the choir and liturgical space
- repair of the roof (coverage slate and carpentry)
- Refurbishment of the organ
- renewal of electrical and lighting
- repairing and cleaning the windows
For what results?
- permanently preserve the architectural heritage of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes
- keep this place built at the request of Mary: "Go and tell the priests that building a chapel here and we will come to the procession."
