Born in 1964, he is from the Montauban region, but worked as a tax inspector in the department of Eure before entering the seminary. He chose to become a priest in the diocese of Évreux, which had supported him during the discernment of his vocation.
Ordained a priest on 24th June 2001, Father Michel Daubanes was an assistant priest then administrator of the parish of Notre-Dame du Grand Sud in Évreux before becoming parish priest of the parish of Notre-Dame de l’Alliance in Evreux from 2004 to 2014.
He has been a member of the Episcopal Council of the diocese of Évreux since 2004,
vicar general of the diocese and moderator of the curia since 2006, chaplain of the New Hospital of
Navarre in Évreux (psychiatric hospital) since 2014, a member of the provincial team training permanent deacons since 2018, and professor of biblical exegesis at the Norman Institute of
Religious Sciences since 2020.
He loves Lourdes, a place he has known and visited frequently as a pilgrim for many years. He is sympathetic to the message of Massabielle and, with all of us, will be a receptive and committed ambassador and servant.
