The Sanctuary suggests a water celebration, either personal or in community. It can be supplemented with songs and prayers (you\u2019ll need to provide containers filled with water from the Cave and drinking cups).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3992209 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3992209\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3><span style=\"color: #e8a702;\">Light a candle<\/span><\/h3><p>Immaculate, Mary is a being of light. The candle that Bernadette lit helped her pray. It reminds us of that held by the godparents during baptism. Let\u2019s imitate Bernadette and go to the Grotto to ask for a light in our lives. In Lourdes, each day ends with the Marian torchlight procession, starting at 9 p.m.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-590936c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"590936c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3><span style=\"color: #e8a702;\">Go to confession<\/span><\/h3><p>Bernadette, seeing the beautiful Lady of Massabielle all \u201cenveloped in light\u201d, went to confession for the first time in her life three days after the first apparition. The pastoral theme \u201cI am the Immaculate Conception\u201d gives us a chance to reflect on forgiveness, because the presence of Mary opens us up to hope. Forgiveness granted or received opens us to life. We become free again. The Sanctuary suggests a celebration of forgiveness under the gaze of Mary.
