For Catholics, Holy Week is the last week of Lent. It begins with Palm Sunday, on 28th March, which commemorates Christ’s solemn entry into Jerusalem. It includes Maundy Thursday, when Jesus instituted the Eucharist during the Last Supper, and Good Friday, the day of Christ’s Passion and death on the Cross. It ends with the Easter Vigil on the night of Holy Saturday to Easter Sunday when the Resurrection of Christ is celebrated.
