Every year, the sick, the frail and those in search of meaning come here to pray, thanks to the thousands of hospitaliers who give so selflessly of themselves in Lourdes. The Sanctuary exists solely thanks to the generosity of the faithful: it receives no subsidies from the State or the Vatican.

By choosing to leave part of your estate to the Sanctuary through a legacy, donation or life insurance policy, you become a steward of the future:

• You will be helping to maintain and renovate this world-famous pilgrimage site,
• You are enabling the Sanctuary to welcome people who are ill, disabled or vulnerable
• You are supporting the Sanctuary’s spiritual, pastoral and humanitarian missions,
• You are leaving a lasting sign of your commitment to a mission of faith and love.

Leaving a legacy to Lourdes is a free, reversible and profoundly human act. It can include a property, a sum of money, shares or any other part of your estate. If you have no direct heirs, your legacy is used in its entirety for the Sanctuary, free from inheritance tax.
