Their spiritual and material commitment provides concrete support for the Sanctuary’s missions. Each donation helps to sustain a unique place of hope and consolation for millions of pilgrims, especially people who are sick, vulnerable, needy and the young. By becoming a Friend of Lourdes, you directly support the spiritual, pastoral and hospitality activities of the Sanctuary.

The Friends of Lourdes live in fraternal communion around the Virgin Mary, even though they reside physically throughout the world. Each member is carried in daily prayer at the Grotto, where the chapelains of the Sanctuary faithfully present their intentions.

Wherever they are in the world…

• Every month, Friends of Lourdes receive a letter from the Sanctuary, translated into six languages, to remain united in prayer and informed about life in Lourdes
• A Mass is celebrated on the 11th of each month at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary for the intentions of all the Friends of Lourdes and benefactors of the Sanctuary. This Mass is broadcast live on the Lourdes+ Sanctuary website and on the Sanctuary’s ‘Prier avec Lourdes’ (Pray with Lourdes) app.
• Every day, at any time, Friends of Lourdes can follow the celebrations live from the Grotto, submit a prayer intention, or ask for a candle to be lit in the Chapels of Light by downloading the “Prier avec Lourdes” (Pray with Lourdes) app.
