“Penance, Penance, Penance …” This word spoken by the Virgin Mary at the Grotto of Lourdes continues to resonate today. We are all sinners. To pray for sinners is to be certain, therefore, that Jesus has come to save each and every one of us. Mary’s invitation is thus a call to hope. It is also an encouragement to do everything we can for our neighbour. “I will have done everything for my own happiness, when I have done everything for the happiness of my neighbour.”
Mary wants to commit us to a path of penance which brings the promise of happiness.

  • The torchlight Marian procession at 9.00 pm (from April to October)
