The Donor Relations Team: listening to the needs of faith and giving
_________________

At the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, every donation received is much more than material support: it is an act of trust, a prayer incarnate, a living link between a generous heart and this blessed place where the Virgin Mary continues to touch so many hearts.
The Donor Relations Team is here to provide appropriate support to those who choose to support the mission of the Sanctuary. This mission is twofold: to welcome the most vulnerable people to a place of peace and to bring to life, day after day, the grace of Lourdes, where suffering is listened to, borne and sanctified.
A discreet, faithful, and human presence
- They wish to adjust the amount of their regular support,
- They want to change their address in the database,
- They entrust us with the memory of a loved one,
- They wish to understand how to direct their donation or offering towards a specific intention (welcoming sick people, restoration of the Sanctuary, Mass intentions, asking for a candle to be lit, etc.).
Behind each gift there is a story
A family marked by the grace of healing. A former hospitalier who has become too old to serve, but who continues to ‘carry’ the sick through donations. An isolated person who finds an invisible but living presence in Lourdes.
Recording donations, a spiritual responsibility
Each donation is received with respect, gratitude, and confidentiality. It is carefully recorded, transmitted, and allocated according to the donor’s wishes, with great vigilance. We work with trusted partners to ensure that donations are managed in accordance with the expectations of those who entrust a gift to Lourdes.
Giving is another way of praying
Many of our benefactors write to us saying that they can no longer come on pilgrimage, but that for them, giving is still a step towards the Grotto.
Others want to continue the commitment of a life of faith, a spiritual journey begun in Lourdes, which illness, age or distance prevent them from continuing in any other way. Each donation is a light placed at the Grotto, a sign of communion.
“What always moves me is to see how the loyalty of donors is long-standing. Some experienced Lourdes as children, others accompanied a suffering loved one there. Many see this gesture as an act of love for Mary and for the little ones. “
