A Sanctuary anxious to welcome people in safety
The hygiene measures put in place by the Sanctuary
In the presence of the rector, Mgr. Olivier Ribadeau Dumas, the doctor from Lourdes, Alessandro de Franciscis, the head of the technical, prevention and safety hub, Sébastien Maysounave and the vice-president of the Lourdes Tourist Office, Marie Etcheverry.
The theme of the year for the year 2021 is “I am the Immaculate Conception”, Father Horacio Brito, General Chaplain of the Hospitality of Our Lady of Lourdes, offered us three meditations, the first of which was “Mary full of grace”.

Coming on pilgrimage to Lourdes with the sick
Round table in which Doctor Alessandro de Franciscis, doctor of Lourdes, François Labadie, director of the Accueil Notre-Dame and Sister Amal of the Accueil Marie Saint-Frai discussed their approaches to the Lourdes pilgrimage. Virtual participants were Professor Gilles Berrut, geriatrician, doctor to the Rosary pilgrimage, doctor Jean-Louis Dalleinne, responsible for the pastoral care of the diocese of Evreux, and doctor Alain Baty, general practitioner, president of the Association of Presidents of Francophone Hospitalities.

The Lourdes rosary on Catholic television
The Lourdes Rosary is followed all over the world. Father Michel Baute, Lourdes “chapelain”, in person, and, virutally, Philippine de Saint-Pierre, (general manager KTO TV, France), Fabio Bolzetta (TV2000 host, Italy), Peter Gagnon (EWTN programme director, USA ) and Femin Jacob Programme Director Atmadarshan TV (India) broadcast the Rosary of Lourdes every day.

Experiencing Lourdes outside Lourdes
Present for the discussion were Mgr. Xavier d´Arodes, vice-rector of the Sanctuary, to introduce the “Lourdes Missions”; Father Régis-Marie de La Teyssonnière, Lourdes “chapelain”, who has travelled extensively in different countries in the world and spoke about days of celebration “as in Lourdes”; Father Georges Nicoli, parish priest of the Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Bastia, reflected on his mission with the relics of Bernadette, which the Corsicans came to venerate. Father Vincent Cabanac, Director of the National Pilgrimage, and Constance Lot de Maniquete, Hospitalière with Notre-Dame de Salut, presented their experience of the “guardian angels” as part of the Hospitalité Notre-Dame de Salut. Mgr. Pascal Gollnisch, director of the Oeuvre d’Orient, reflected on the sending of statues of Our Lady of Lourdes to Iraq.
