Le miracle de la rencontre

A côté des guérisons physiques inexpliquées attribuées à Notre-Dame de Lourdes, officiellement reconnues miraculeuses par les évêques des diocèses où résident les personnes guéries (70 à ce jour,) de nombreux témoignages de grâces reçues à Lourdes nous parviennent. Celui de Margarita en est un.

Auteur, compositeur, interprète… pour Dieu

L’interview se déroule à la veille de son départ. Sous un beau ciel azur, mais dans une chaleur étouffante. L’orage n’est pas loin. Elle arrive guitare à la main, pleine de fraîcheur, sourire aux lèvres, prête à interpréter l’un des derniers tubes qu’elle a composé et qui figure dans l’album qu’elle a produit, toute seule comme une grande, et qui est disponible sur tous les grands sites de téléchargements en ligne. Son titre : Eternidad (Eternité). Tout un programme qu’elle essaie de transmettre, sans prosélytisme, à ses élèves collégiens de Houston (USA) durant ses cours de français. Car Margarita enseigne outre-Atlantique la langue de Molière.

De l’art du discernement

L’entretien se déroule dans un français impeccable. Avec le petit accent pointu des hispanophones, sa langue maternelle. C’est aussi la langue de ses chansons. Tout simplement délicieux. Venir à Lourdes, c’est une idée qui a pris le temps de faire son chemin. Dans sa tête et dans son cœur. Une avancée en quatre étapes. 1) Au Mexique, durant son enfance, il y avait des statues de Notre-Dame de Lourdes dans toutes les églises, mais personne pour en raconter l’histoire. 2) Lors d’un séjour étudiant en France, la dame qui l’héberge lui parle de ses nombreux pèlerinages à Lourdes pour implorer la guérison de sa fille touchée par le cancer : en vain, l’enfant mourra. 3) Dans une vidéo en ligne qu’elle regarde avec curiosité, le témoignage d’une personne athée ayant assisté à une guérison à Lourdes l’impressionne : le prodige certes, mais surtout la foi. 4) Pour finir, le retour en Amérique d’une amie paroissienne qui rentre du lieu d’apparition mariale et qui lui dit avec force : « Vas-y rendre service ! » Margarita relit le chemin parcouru. Y voit des signes. Même un appel. C’est tout discerné. Elle postule alors auprès du Sanctuaire pour venir en tant que bénévole. La réponse est rapide et positive. Les billets d’avion sont pris en octobre 2017 et Margarita est à Lourdes, pour la première fois de sa vie. C’est l’été 2018.

Le temps de la grâce

Pendant onze jours, Margarita se met au service de l’accueil des pèlerins. Le matin, pour répondre à leurs questions, au niveau des arcades situées juste avant l’arrivée dans l’Espace Grotte. L’après-midi, pour les accompagner dans leur démarche de bain, dans le secret du bâtiment des piscines. Cette dernière expérience a marqué la jeune femme. Au-delà des corps blessés, difformes, usés, abîmés, paralysés, amputés, handicapés, elle a vu « la beauté dans les cœurs ». Cette découverte, purement évangélique, Margarita ne l’oubliera jamais. C’est une grâce reçue, comme inscrite à jamais dans sa vie : la beauté vient souvent des plus petits et des plus pauvres. C’est l’école de l’humilité. Une autre grâce vécue à Lourdes ? « Tout le monde ici s’entraide spontanément dans la joie et avec la bonne humeur ». Margarita nomme cela « le miracle de la rencontre. » Un miracle dont, selon elle, « Dieu est l’instigateur mais avec la complicité de la Vierge Marie ». Avant de se dire au revoir, la jeune enseignante tient à partager le message que Dieu lui a confié à Lourdes : « Je veux que tu sois heureuse. » C’est l’aventure du bonheur à laquelle chacun de nous est appelé. Pour l’éternité.
